Animation, this adventure comedy follows the iconic cat and mouse duo as they settle in to their new digs at the Royal Gate Hotel and unleash mayhem across the big city, inciting hilarious chaos uptown, downtown and everywhere their manic escapades take them. Hold on to your hats, New York! Legendary cartoon characters Tom and Jerry are moving their big chase to the Big Apple in the all-new original series Tom and Jerry in New York. But as for me, I'll hold out hope that Pete Browngardt will make new Tom and Jerry shorts like he did for Looney Tunes. It is a spin-off of the film Tom & Jerry.
Of course kids will love this, and they're free to - every single generation loves Tom and Jerry and that's the beauty of it. Big WB cartoon franchises like this and Scooby-Doo are kept on a pretty tight leash, and while the experimentation isn't bad, their recent media ends up being quite dull and bland, and the hardships behind the scenes don't help matters. The slapstick is still there, but it doesn't hit as hard as it could have. I know that it has a limited budget because of WB's buffoonery, so they can't really improve it. Both shows have/had a lot of potential, and the directors and staff are talented, but the problem is limited budget.
It's made to promote the 2021 movie and is a continuation of the Tom and Jerry Show from 2014. As such, recent Tom and Jerry media has been quite.safe. Despite this, moral guardians have pushed the series to be less violent.
Tom and Jerry is well-beloved for its over-the-top violence and slapstick, and it'd be nothing without that trademark humor.
